Devotion to God, often known as "Ishq-e-Haqiqi," lies at the guts of many Ghazals. Why a short Poem? A brief poem could also be a stylistic selection or it could also be that you've said what you supposed to say in a more concise way. Either method, they differ stylistically from a protracted poem in that there tends to be more care in phrase selection.
